Moneygami – origami with banknotes
Now, this is just so creative….everyone has heard of origami, and I’d imagine most people have had a go at making a swan or something like that at some stage. But folding banknotes origami-style – and making use of what’s printed on them is an artform in its own right.
This pic is from Fun Fever where they have some great face-themed moneygami. Over at Commongate, they have a whole gallery of incredible dollar-bill moneygami examples.

My son started making origami birds and little men about 25 years ago and has left a trail of them wherever he goes. He made a shirt which looked like a newly bought one, all folded, out of a $5 bill. Only once have i needed to spend “the shirt off my back” and when i took it out to use, the bank teller immediately took $5 out of his pocket and put the “shirt” in its place.
